Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!!! Welcome to 2024! Out with the old and in with the new. This year we strive to bring new fun ideas and activities to Aravilla Clearwater. Successful Christmas Bus Trips
For this past month in December, Aravilla Clearwater designated every Tuesday and Thursday night for nightly bus trips to see Christmas lights with our Aravilla Family! From Largo Central Park, to The Ultimate Christmas Lights House in Clearwater! We even got to do some drive by light watching while singing Christmas carols and sipping on hot chocolates with marshmallows! Our senior residents had a lot of fun and got to enjoy the spirit of Christmas this past year. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
Resident Spotlight Betty E.
We want to take a moment to recognize Betty E. as a part of our Aravilla Clearwater Family! Betty was born in 1926, in a small farm town called Keota, Iowa. After graduating high school, she proceeded to study for her degree in Home Economics at the University of Iowa. Betty worked for a short amount of time as a bookkeeper before meeting her Husband, George. Together they were married for over 60 years! They moved around the country quite a bit but finally settled in Florida around 1960. Together they have 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl that now have kids of their own making Betty a very proud grandmother of 2. Betty loved to volunteer! She volunteered for many years at a National Women’s Service Organization called “TRI T”, as well as Hospitals, Library’s, and VA Clinics. Apart from volunteering, Betty’s favorite hobbies include reading, arts & crafts, and traveling. She’s been all around the world! Europe, Germany, Ireland, Scottland, Austria, China, Russia and more. Her and her husband even owned an RV for many years and loved to travel all over the US, Canada, and Mexico. We are so very blessed to have Betty E. here as a part of our Aravilla Family. You can’t miss her beautiful smile around our community! Be sure to stop and say hello to Betty.
